The Yamaha PSR-E473 combines accessible controls with performance-focused features normally found on higher-level arranger keyboards. Its touch-sensitive keyboard responds to playing intensity, allowing softer or louder sounds depending on how firmly the keys are pressed. Users can select Soft, Medium, Hard or Fixed touch-response settings to match their playing style. The built-in sound engine offers 820 voices, including acoustic and electric pianos, organs, guitars, strings, brass, synthesizers, percussion and Yamaha Super Articulation Lite voices. A maximum polyphony of 64 notes supports layered sounds, accompaniment and sustained playing. For live control and music creation, the keyboard includes Groove Creator, Quick Sampling, Motion Effect, two assignable control knobs and a pitch-bend wheel. USB audio and MIDI functionality allows compatible computers and smart devices to exchange audio and performance data with the keyboard.
