The Siemens ET611FE17Q provides four electrically heated ceramic cooking zones for boiling, frying, simmering and general meal preparation. Unlike induction hobs, its radiant heating zones can be used with conventional flat-bottom cookware suitable for ceramic hobs. The touchSlider interface removes the need for raised knobs, maintaining a smooth surface and simplifying cleaning. Each cooking zone can be regulated across 17 power levels, giving more precise control over the cooking temperature. A timer with automatic switch-off can deactivate the selected cooking zone when the programmed cooking period ends. Additional functions include Quick Start, wipe protection, a childproof lock and automatic safety switch-off. The appliance also includes a two-stage residual-heat indicator, which shows when a cooking zone remains hot after it has been switched off.
